Cisco ASR ASR1002-PWR-DC Power Module [REF] is a high-performance and reliable DC power supply designed specifically for Cisco ASR 1002 series routers. It is an ideal solution for professional environments such as data centers, service provider infrastructures, and advanced IT systems, where uptime and power stability are critical.

The module supports a redundant 1+1 architecture, allowing two power supplies to be installed in a single chassis. In the event of a failure of one unit, the other automatically takes over, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Thanks to hot-swap capability, the module can be safely replaced without shutting down the router.

The power supply delivers up to 950 W and features a two-pin DC input connector (polarity: + / –), ensuring secure and stable connection. The design includes an ergonomic handle to facilitate installation and removal - due to the length of the unit, it is recommended to support it during installation.

Efficient cooling is provided by built-in fans with speed sensors, operating independently of the router’s system cooling. The fans start immediately upon power connection, even if the module is in standby mode. The unit uses front-to-rear airflow, therefore all modules within the same chassis must operate in the same direction to prevent overheating and potential failures.

The device is equipped with LED indicators (OK/FAIL) to quickly identify issues such as overload, overheating, or fan failure. The power supply does not include a physical switch on the housing - activation is controlled via the router chassis power switch.
