Extreme Networks Summit 7520-48YE-8CE-AC-R is an advanced enterprise-class network switch designed for aggregation and core applications in modern, high-performance IT infrastructures. The device offers high port density and support for demanding environments generating intensive traffic, typical of data centers and large campus networks.

The 7520-48YE-8CE-AC-R model is equipped with 48 × SFP28 ports supporting 10/25 Gb/s and 8 × QSFP28 ports with 40/100 Gb/s throughput, providing flexibility for building scalable, high-bandwidth networks. Thanks to its scale-out architecture and high energy efficiency, the switch is an optimal solution in terms of cost, power consumption, and rack space utilization.

The switch offers extensive management options, including an RJ-45 console port, a 10/100/1000 Mb/s OOB management port for out-of-band communication, and a USB Type-A port for external storage. This enables both local and remote administration.

This model is factory-equipped with two 800W AC power supplies and six fan modules with back-to-front airflow. All components are hot-swappable, ensuring high availability and continuous operation. Additionally, the device supports various cooling options and redundant power supplies, increasing reliability in critical environments.

The switch supports advanced security features, including MACsec encryption and security policies implemented via Extreme Platform ONE. With support for Extreme Fabric, network automation, rapid service deployment, and consistent end-to-end segmentation are enabled.

Additionally, the device offers the Universal Hardware feature, enabling the selection of the operating system (EXOS or VOSS), as well as integration with ExtremeCloud IQ. The solution ensures high energy efficiency, reliability, and simplified management in large-scale environments.
