The complete set based on the Huawei CloudEngine S6730-H24X6C-V2 switch is a modern, high-performance enterprise-class solution designed for building core or aggregation layers in network environments such as campuses, data centers, universities, and advanced IoT infrastructures. The device combines high throughput, advanced security features, and flexible management - both local and cloud-based.
High Performance and Scalability
The switch offers switching capacity of up to 2.4 Tbps and a forwarding performance of 490 Mpps, ensuring smooth operation even in the most demanding network environments. The 24 SFP+ ports provide access to 10GE transmission, while the six QSFP28 ports can operate at 40GE and be upgraded to 100GE with the appropriate license.
Flexible 40/100GE Ports with RTU License
The six QSFP28 ports support 40GE transmission, while the RTU license enables their speed to be increased to 100GE. This allows the infrastructure to be expanded without replacing the switch and enables the device to adapt to growing bandwidth requirements.
The offered set includes a Huawei Enterprise 100G license, enabling the QSFP28 ports to be used in 100GE mode.
Redundant AC/DC Power Supply (1+1)
The switch supports replaceable AC and DC power supply modules, allowing flexible adaptation to the available power infrastructure. The modules are installed in the device as a solution designed to provide high reliability and operational continuity.
Integrated WLAN Controller (WAC)
The CloudEngine S6730-H24X6C-V2 features an integrated WLAN controller (WLAN AC), allowing it to manage up to 1,000 access points (APs). This enables wired and wireless infrastructure to be integrated while reducing the need for a separate WLAN controller.
Advanced VXLAN Network Virtualization
The S6730-H24X6C-V2 supports VXLAN technology, which enables the creation of virtual logical networks and the isolation of multiple service or client networks within a single physical infrastructure. The switch supports both centralized and distributed VXLAN gateways, as well as BGP EVPN and configuration via NETCONF/YANG.
Advanced Security Features
The S6730-H24X6C-V2 offers a comprehensive set of security and access control mechanisms, including 802.1X, RADIUS, HWTACACS, DoS attack protection, Dynamic ARP Inspection, IP Source Guard, and Secure Boot.
Intelligent Management and Automation
The device runs on the Huawei VRP platform and provides extensive local and remote management capabilities. It supports CLI, SNMP, SSH, NETCONF/YANG, sFlow, Streaming Telemetry, and OPS (Open Programmability System). An intelligent software upgrade function is also available, automating the process of downloading and installing new versions.
The device supports iStack, enabling multiple switches to be combined into a single logical system. This makes it possible to increase the number of ports, bandwidth, and processing power while simplifying network management. The S6730-H-V2 also supports high-availability mechanisms such as M-LAG, LACP, E-Trunk, VRRP, and BFD.
What distinguishes the V2 version from the V1 version?
The V2 version of the Huawei S6730 switches features newer firmware and offers higher throughput - 2.16/2.4 Tbps compared to 1.68 Tbps in the V1 version. V2 also introduces additional features such as telemetry, iStack, and VXLAN, as well as enhanced integration capabilities with cloud solutions. It is a newer, more feature-rich version of the switch, designed for demanding network environments.
