Huawei CloudEngine S6730-H48X6C is a high-performance, enterprise-class managed switch designed for core and aggregation network applications. The device is equipped with 48 × 10GE SFP+ ports and 6 × 40GE/100GE QSFP28 ports, providing high bandwidth and enabling the construction of scalable network infrastructure. The switch offers switching capacity of up to 2.16 Tbps and supports advanced routing, network virtualization and high-availability features.
The S6730-H48X6C features two power supply module slots supporting a redundant 1+1 configuration. The presented version includes 1 × 600 W AC PAC600S12-EB power module and 1 × 1000 W DC PDC1000S12-DB power module.
The QSFP28 ports can operate at 40GE or 100GE. Full 100GE speed requires activation of the appropriate license, which is included in the presented configuration. The QSFP28 ports automatically recognize 40GE and 100GE transceivers.
Advanced networking features
Huawei S6730-H48X6C supports a wide range of features designed for building advanced enterprise and carrier networks. The device supports VXLAN, including L2/L3 gateways and BGP-EVPN, as well as routing protocols such as RIP/RIPng, OSPF/OSPFv3, IS-IS/IS-ISv6 and BGP/BGP4+. ECMP is also available, enabling the use of multiple equal-cost transmission paths.
The switch supports MPLS technologies, including MPLS L3VPN, L2VPN (VPWS/VPLS), MPLS-TE and MPLS QoS. High-availability features include iStack, ERPS, SEP, Smart Link, VRRP, STP, RSTP and MSTP.
Management and security
The device can be managed via CLI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, RMON and a Web interface, as well as through Huawei CloudCampus / iMaster NCE-Campus solutions. The S6730-H48X6C provides real-time telemetry and iPCA for monitoring packet loss.
The switch also features Open Programmability System (OPS) with the ability to program tasks in Python, as well as advanced security mechanisms including ECA (Encrypted Communication Analytics) and Network Deception technology.
Huawei S6730-H48X6C is suitable as a core or aggregation switch in large enterprise networks, data centers and extensive ICT infrastructures. The combination of 48× 10GE SFP+ ports, 6 × 40/100GE QSFP28 ports, high switching capacity and support for advanced routing and virtualization mechanisms enables the construction of scalable, high-bandwidth infrastructure.
