The Huawei S6730-H28X6C-V2 is a next-generation switch equipped with 28 × 10GE SFP+ ports and 6 × 40/100GE QSFP28 uplinks, enabling the deployment of flexible and scalable networks in environments with high bandwidth requirements. The device features two hot-swappable power supply modules and supports 1+1 power redundancy, ensuring operational continuity and high availability.
The model delivers a switching capacity of 2.4 Tbit/s and a packet forwarding rate of 490 Mpps. The default 40GE uplink ports can be upgraded to 100GE via licensing, allowing the infrastructure to adapt to growing network demands. With the free mobility feature, the switch provides a consistent user experience regardless of location or IP address. It also supports VXLAN (L2 and L3 gateways) and BGP-EVPN, enabling network virtualization and seamless integration within a unified architecture. In addition, the solution offers iPCA, a mechanism for real-time collection of packet loss and loss ratio metrics.
The device ensures broad interoperability through support for protocols such as VBST (compatible with PVST/PVST+/RPVST), LNP (similar to DTP), and VCMP (equivalent to VTP). Integrated technologies and a comprehensive feature set make the S6730-H24X6C-V2 an ideal solution for modern, dynamic networking environments.
