3M Dynatel Marker/Cable/Pipe Locator - A device used for locating underground markers, cables, and pipes. Equipped with a directional antenna system enabling precise location in peak directional mode, null directional mode, inductive peak mode, and special peak mode for cable locating.

The 3M™ Dynatel™ 2573XE cable/pipe, fault and marker locator is equipped with an advanced electronic system that allows fast and effective detection of cable or sheath faults (ground return), as well as tracing underground cable and pipe routes (equipped with metallic tracer wires). It provides accurate depth measurements of cables/pipes or probes, with digital readouts in inches, feet and inches, or centimeters (user selectable). These lightweight, compact, and well-balanced cable and pipe locators enable accurate and easy: locating and estimating the depth of all existing models of properly installed underground passive EMS markers; reading, writing, and directly displaying the depth of 3M™ iD markers; tracing cable and pipe paths; estimating the depth of installed cables/pipes or probes; measuring signal current in cables/pipes; identifying cables via toning; passive locating of power cables; indicating sheath or grounding faults and cable breaks; distinguishing between minor and major faults; compliance with CE requirements.
