The MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+ is a high-performance carrier-grade router designed for the most demanding networking environments. Powered by a modern 16-core 64-bit ARM Amazon Annapurna Labs AL73400 processor clocked at 2 GHz and running RouterOS v7, it delivers outstanding routing performance, dynamic protocol support, and advanced security capabilities. It is an ideal solution for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), data centers, large enterprises, and extensive campus networks.
The CCR2116-12G-4S+ sets a new performance benchmark in the Cloud Core Router family. Thanks to its powerful 16-core CPU, it delivers up to twice the performance of the previous CCR1036 model equipped with a 36-core processor. The significantly higher single-core performance makes it exceptionally efficient in handling connection-intensive tasks such as:

- VPN tunnel handling
Additionally, the router supports Layer 3 Hardware Offloading, further increasing network performance while reducing CPU utilization.

Each SFP+ interface has its own independent full-duplex connection to the Marvell 98DX3255 switching chip, while the Ethernet ports are divided into four independent groups.
