Explanation of the markers printed on OPTIX cables
Optix S-XOTKtcd fully dielectric octal cable with self-supporting structure, the supporting element is made of FRP rod 1х2,5mm, intended for hanging on a span up to 40m (SAG 2-3%), lightweight single-tube construction, gel and water blocking structure (WB), resistance to UV radiation, the jacket is made of high density POLYETHYLENE, temperature range from -40...+70 [°C], equivalent: S-XOTKtcd, tension strength: 1200N.
All fibres of the cable are color coded according to the coding standard. Tube containing up to 24 optical fibres filled with hydrophobic gel to protect fibres from moisture and vibration. The thread embedded in the sheath is used to the removal of the cable's outer sheath (ripcord). The cables are designed for aerial installation.
