All fibres are color coded according to the eia/tia-598 coding standard. The tube containing up to 24 optical fibres is filled with hydrophobic gel to protect fibres against moisture and vibration. The center of the cable is protected against water penetration with moisture-absorbing fibres. In order to provide additional structural strength, two steel Ø 0.9mm rods are embedded in the outer PE layer. Two threads embedded in the sheath facilitate removal of the cable's outer sheath (ripcords). The cables are intended for installation in primary and secondary telecommunication sewage systems using pneumatic (blowing) and mechanical (pulling) methods, as well as for aerial installations on spans up to 60m.
