OPTIX STRONG ZKS-XOTKtsFf (Steel tape): external cable intended for installation in sewage systems and for direct burial in the ground, solid multi-tube construction with a dry medium sealing, high dragging resistance, central strengthening element (FRP rod), loose tube, gel and water blocking construction (WB), reinforced with corrugated steel tape, HDPE coating– UV resistance, temperature range from -30…+70 [°C] – equivalent: ZKS-XOTKtsFf. Maximum tension strength: 2500N.

All fibres and tubes of the cable are color coded according to the eia/tia-598 coding standard. Each tube containing up to 12 optical fibres is filled with with hydrophobic gel to protect the fibres against moisture and vibration. The cable centre is protected against water penetration with damp-proof tape and/or moisture absorbing fibres (WSY). The cable tubes and filling elements are twisted around a central strengthening element - FRP rod. Two threads embedded in the sheath (ripcords) are used to facilitate the removal of the cable outer sheath. The cables are intended for installation in sewage systems using pneumatic (blowing) and mechanical (pulling) methods and for direct underground burying. Their construction ensures protection of optical fibres against rodents and mechanical damage.
