QSFP+ OPTEC, 40G, PCC, 2M Passive Copper Cable to 4xSFP+
QSFP+ 40G Twinax Cable are high-performance copper cables designed for high-speed data transmission at rates of up to 40 Gb/s. The solution uses integrated QSFP+ modules and a Twinax copper cable, enabling direct connection of compatible network devices without the need for additional transceivers and patch cords.
The range includes both PCC (Passive Copper Cable) passive copper cables, designed for shorter-distance connections, and ACC (Active Copper Cable) active copper cables, equipped with electronic circuits that improve signal quality and enable connections over greater distances than passive cables. Depending on the variant, the cables may feature QSFP+ to QSFP+ or QSFP+ to 4×SFP+ connectors, allowing the solution to be flexibly adapted to the required network architecture.
The range includes copper cables designed for different distances and network architectures.
Classification by signal configuration:
- PCC (Passive Copper Cable): passive copper cables without additional signal amplification circuits. They offer ultra-low latency and do not contain active electronic components, resulting in very low power consumption. They are designed for direct short-distance connections, e.g. between devices within the same RACK cabinet or adjacent cabinets
- ACC (Active Copper Cable): active copper cables equipped with electronic circuits that improve signal integrity and quality. They enable stable 40G data transmission over greater distances than passive solutions while maintaining a thin and flexible cable design.
Classification by connection architecture:
- Direct connections (QSFP+ to QSFP+): connect two 40G ports on switches, routers or servers (Point-to-Point)
- Breakout cables (QSFP+ to 4×SFP+): enable one 40G QSFP+ port to be split into four independent 10G SFP+ ports.
Key features:
- Data transmission rates of up to 40 Gb/s
- Available in PCC (Passive Copper Cable) and ACC (Active Copper Cable) versions
