Router MikroTik RouterBoard L009UiGS-RM is equipped with a dual-core ARM 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, making it four times more efficient than its predecessor, which featured a single-core 600 MHz processor and 128 MB of RAM. As a result, MikroTik’s latest model significantly enhances routing, filtering, advanced firewall rules, hardware-accelerated IPsec encryption, and other RouterOS functions. The ARM processor provides an advantage over older MIPS-based devices, allowing the use of modern Linux kernel features and container deployment. The combination of a powerful processor and a full-size USB port enables running custom projects such as Pi-hole ad blockers or connecting an LTE modem.

The L009UiGS-RM router is equipped with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s) and one SFP slot (1 Gb/s with 2.5 Gb/s support). The first Ethernet port serves as a PoE-in power input (24–56 V DC), while the last port offers PoE-out, with voltage depending on the input power. Notably, PoE-out is only available when the router is powered via the DC jack. Additionally, the device features a USB 3.0 port, further expanding its functionality.
