Dell PowerEdge R650 Server

The Dell PowerEdge R650 is a high-performance, dual-processor rack server in a compact 1U form factor, designed for applications requiring high computing performance, high storage throughput, and efficient use of space in the server room. The platform uses 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and supports DDR4 memory and high-speed NVMe drives, making it suitable for use as an application server, database server, virtualization server, or as part of a data center infrastructure.

The offered configuration is equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4309Y processors, each featuring 8 cores and a base clock speed of 2.80 GHz, as well as 64 GB of DDR4 RAM in the form of 4 × 16 GB modules. Storage is managed by the PERC H755N controller, working with three high-speed 1.92 TB U.2 NVMe SSDs. This configuration provides a favorable combination of computing performance and fast data access.

The operating system is intended to run from a Dell BOSS-S1 module with two 240 GB Dell SATA M.2 SSDs. BOSS-S1 is Dell's dedicated solution for booting the operating system, separating system drives from the main storage space used for data and applications. The R650 platform supports BOSS-S1 in a hardware RAID configuration for two M.2 drives.

The server features 2 × 1GbE LOM as well as an additional 2 × 10GbE BASE-T network interface in OCP 3.0 standard, providing high-speed communication with the network infrastructure. Server management is handled by iDRAC9 Enterprise, enabling remote monitoring and administration of the device.

The PowerEdge R650 chassis allows the installation of multiple 2.5" SAS/SATA/NVMe drives, while PCIe Gen4 support provides extensive expansion capabilities and high bandwidth for compatible add-on devices. The server is designed for environments where performance, scalability, and infrastructure density are essential.
