Dual SFP+ transceivers are interchangeable optical modules designed for data transmission at speeds of up to 10 Gb/s in fiber optic networks. The modules use a classic architecture in which transmission (TX) and reception (RX) are carried out using two separate optical fibers.
The SFP+ format ensures broad compatibility with switches, routers, servers, and transmission devices supporting 10G interfaces. The hot-swap design allows installation and replacement of the module without powering down the device.
Key features:
- One fiber used for transmitting the optical signal (TX)
- A second fiber used for receiving the signal (RX)
- A single wavelength is used.
This solution is the most commonly used and the most universal method for implementing 10G fiber optic connections.
