SFP28 Dual OPTEC 25G SM LC 5.6 dB 10 km DFB/PIN TX1310 DDM
SFP28 Dual 25G transceivers are high-performance optical modules designed for 25 Gb/s data transmission in modern Ethernet networks. The Dual Fiber version means the use of two optical fibers - a separate transmit (TX) and receive (RX) path - ensuring stable signal transmission.
Modules in the SFP28 form factor are an evolution of the SFP+ standard and are designed for high port-density environments such as data centers and cloud infrastructure. They share the same mechanical dimensions as SFP+ modules but feature electronic components adapted for 25 Gb/s transmission. This eliminates the need to replace passive infrastructure. Additionally, SFP28 transceivers are backward compatible with SFP+ ports – they can be used in SFP+ slots, although the speed will be reduced accordingly. Conversely, switches supporting 25 Gb/s technology and equipped with SFP28/SFP+ ports allow the use of SFP+ modules in SFP28 ports by adjusting the port speed in the device settings. Compatibility also applies to PCC (Passive Copper Cable) and ACC (Active Copper Cable).
Key features:
- High performance with 25 Gb/s data transmission
- Use of LC connectors and a pair of optical fibers (multimode MMF or single-mode SMF)
- Designed for interconnections between switches, servers, and storage devices, especially in data centers
- High compatibility - same form factor as SFP+ and SFP, allowing deployment in many network devices.
