The Tracom CX ODF PD-FTTH 12F fiber optic box is a professional distribution patch panel designed for the construction and organization of FTTH networks in multi-storey buildings. The device is intended for wall-mounted installation on individual floors of a building, where fiber optic connections are made between feeder cables and subscriber cables leading to individual apartments.

Thanks to its design, the enclosure enables convenient fiber splicing and patching, while ensuring a clear and organized fiber optic infrastructure. The patch panel is equipped with a removable panel with space for splice trays and a patch field for 12 SC Simplex adapters, and also supports other popular standards such as E2000 Simplex and LC Duplex.

Inside the enclosure there is a dedicated space for storing spare lengths of subscriber and riser cables, ensuring the proper fiber bending radius and facilitating future maintenance work. The design also allows the installation of optical splitters of the Steel Box type or mini metalbox on fiber trays, as well as mid-span installations, enabling the feeder cable to be introduced without cutting the tube.

The patch panel is designed to allow cable entry from both the top and bottom of the enclosure, providing flexibility during installation. A numbered partition with a patching field simplifies connection identification and cable management.

The enclosure is made of 1 mm steel sheet with a Magnelis® coating, providing very high corrosion resistance. This coating, enriched with aluminum and magnesium, protects both the surface of the sheet and its edges and is certified for use in C5 corrosive environments. The unit is powder-coated in light grey RAL 7035, providing an additional protective layer and improving the aesthetics of the installation.

The box is equipped with a single removable door secured with a four-point lock with a repeatable key code, with the possibility to change the door opening direction.

The compact enclosure dimensions allow for neat installation within existing cable infrastructures, making the device an ideal solution for distribution points in FTTH access networks.
