SOC (Splice-On-Connector) OPTO, SC/UPC, type SC-1, 3.0mm

SOC (Splice-On Connector) is an alternative form of making fibre optic connectors. This method combines the best features of classic splicing using a fusion splicer (high quality connection) and the ease of use and convenience of using mechanical connectors. It is widely used in FTTH networks. This type of connector can be used on fibres or directly on 3mm fibre optic cables using a fusion splicer with special holders after the whole splice is secured and hidden like in the case of mechanical splices.
