Fibre optic attenuator LC/UPC(F) - LC/UPC(M) 2 dB adapter type, 1240-1625 nm
An optical attenuator makes it possible to adjust the optical signal power level so that it is suitable for receiving devices. It is placed in the optical path before the detector, ensuring that the optical power after passing through it remains within the receiver’s operating range. After passing through the attenuator, the signal is reduced by 2 dB relative to the transmit power, which helps prevent damage to the receiving system over short distances.
The attenuator is compatible with LC/UPC connectors in female (F) and male (M) versions and operates within a wavelength range of 1240 - 1625 nm. Installation and removal are quick and intuitive.
LC connectors are characterized by their compact size, making them ideal for high-density cabling environments. They feature a latch mechanism that prevents accidental disconnection. They are used in LAN, WAN, FTTD networks, as well as in telecommunications, railway systems, cable TV networks, and measurement equipment.
