Huawei ONT GPON OptiXstar EG8145B7N-50 is a modern ONT client terminal designed for GPON networks. The device offers advanced features and a wide range of capabilities, providing high speed and reliable Internet access, ideal for both home users and small businesses.

The device is equipped with one 2.5 GigabitEthernet port and three GigabitEthernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s). Additionally, the terminal includes a POTS port for connecting an analogue telephone and a USB 2.0 port. An SC/APC connector is responsible for optical transmission. The device is equipped with external omni-directional antennas with 5 dBi gain, which offer better transmission range than models with built-in antennas.

OptiXstar EG8145B7N-50 terminal supports Wi-Fi 7, using IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ax/be protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical Wi-Fi throughput is 688 Mbps for 2.4 GHz and 2882 Mbps for 5 GHz. This offers higher wireless speeds compared to standard Wi-Fi 6 solutions with 2x2 MIMO.

Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) introduces a number of improvements over previous generations, providing faster, more stable and efficient connections.

- Multi-Link Operation (MLO) - simultaneous use of multiple bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz) for a more stable connection and lower latency.
- 4K-QAM - more efficient signal encoding, which increases data rates by approximately 20% over Wi-Fi 6.
- Smoother performance in congested networks - better multi-device support with improved MU-MIMO and OFDMA.
