It is part of the universal Extreme 7720 hardware platform, enabling the creation of modern, secure, and easy-to-manage enterprise and data center networks.

The 7720-32C-AC-F model features a unique dual-persona architecture, allowing the choice between operating systems - Switch Engine (EXOS) or Fabric Engine (VOSS). This enables easy adaptation to various deployment scenarios – from traditional IP networks to advanced fabric-based environments. The OS can be selected during initial setup or remotely via a management platform.

The switch is equipped with 32 QSFP28 40/100 Gb/s ports, providing massive bandwidth and configuration flexibility (including breakout to 10/25 Gb/s). With a non-blocking architecture, switching capacity of 6.4 Tb/s, and performance of 2000 Mpps, the device ensures smooth handling of heavy network traffic, including east-west traffic in data centers.

The compact 1U form factor and multiple airflow options (front-to-back) allow easy integration into various infrastructure environments. The AC-F model includes redundant power supplies (2x 800W AC) and a fan kit, ensuring high availability and operational continuity.
