Tycon Dome Closure Series Naming Scheme
The Tycon 400 A8-T-24S 072J-03xS A8-000 is a compact dome-type fiber optic splice closure designed to protect fiber optic connections in telecommunications, FTTH, backbone, and access networks. Based on the proven Tycon 400 series, the closure features an integrated patch panel supporting up to 24 SC Simplex adapters, enabling convenient subscriber and distribution connections without the need for additional fiber distribution enclosures.
The model offers a capacity of up to 72 fiber splices and accommodates up to 3 S-type splice trays, ensuring organized fiber management and easy maintenance access. The heat-shrink cable sealing system provides excellent sealing performance and reliability, even in demanding environmental conditions.
The key feature of this model is the integrated patch panel capable of housing up to 24 SC Simplex adapters. This solution significantly reduces installation time, simplifies connection management, and lowers the cost of building distribution points. By combining the functions of a splice closure and fiber distribution enclosure in a single housing, the unit enables efficient management of both spliced fibers and terminated fiber connections.
The enclosure is manufactured from high-quality plastic resistant to UV radiation, corrosion, chemicals, and extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C. Its IP68 protection rating allows installation in aerial, underground duct, direct-buried, and industrial environments.
All metal components are made from corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring long service life and reliable operation.
The closure has been designed for quick and convenient installation. It is equipped with a pressure test valve located in the dome, a grounding port, a fiber management system, heat-shrink cable entry seals, and A8 cable retention hardware.
As a result, installation is efficient and subsequent maintenance operations are significantly simplified.
