Tycon Dome Closure Series Naming Scheme
The Fiber optic closure Tycon 450 B4-D-000 144J-06xE M8-B29 is an advanced solution designed for the protection, organization, and branching of fiber optic connections in telecommunications networks. This model is based on the proven design of the Tycon 450 B4 series, offering high reliability and flexible configuration, while using a mechanical port sealing system.
This version is equipped with mechanical sealing (D) implemented using rubber sealing elements, which ensures quick installation and high tightness without the need for heat-shrink technology. The design has been created for operation in demanding environmental conditions – both in aerial, duct, and underground installations.
The housing is made of high-quality material resistant to UV radiation, extreme temperatures from -40°C to +60°C, and chemical exposure. As a result, the closure meets the requirements of modern fiber optic networks and is highly durable. The IP68 protection rating guarantees full resistance to dust and water.
The 144J-06xE model offers a capacity of up to 144 fiber splices, with space for 6 adapters and splice tray configurations depending on installation needs. Fiber organization is facilitated by dedicated splice trays and a tube/fiber routing system, ensuring clarity and installation safety.
The closure is equipped with a grounding system, a pressure control valve, and corrosion-resistant metal components, which further increases its long-term reliability.
The closure is available in three variants:
- Basket Standard
- Basket Mechanical
- Patch Panel Mechanical.

- Mechanical plugs for round ports
- 60 mm splice protection sleeves
- Fiber management protection tubes

- Mechanical sealing rubbers for ports (mechanical/round).
